I just thought I'd mention that when I plugged in my Live USB (Ubuntu 10.04) to my brand new ASUS K73e running Windows 7 Ubuntu immediately recognized all the partitions on the hard drive including the small one where a copy of windows Vista seems to reside. Now that I have installed 10.04 on the hard drive, Ubuntu 10.04 sees all the partitions and can access all the files regardless of where they are located as well as save files to any of the folders on any of the partitions, which is sort of handy if I want to be able to access a file created in Ubuntu when the machine is running in Windows 7 all I do is save the file in the windows document folder. Finally thanks for some great youtube instruction videos. I am still looking for instructions on how to install a wireless card driver from tar.bz2 if you happen to feel like sending some instructions to a novice but dedicated Ubuntu supporter. I am currently only able to connect this new computer via windows 7 but I have what I believe is the correct in a tar.bz2 format from Ralink.

That sounds good to me too Bob. I recently registered another domain. With the Godaddy/SOPA scandal I decided not to use Godaddy and I was very fortunate that one of the GMs (from France) on our game server knew a great registrar: http://gandi.net/. Their slogan is "no bullshit" and it really is.

Their prices looked to be higher than Godaddy initially... but Godaddy charges you for everything, including to keep your information private. Gandi.net ended up actually being cheaper ($15 and with conversion something like $15.65). It's also quite simple to modify DNS stuff.

I have to hold off doing anything with the credit card for a bit but would be happy to pitch in $15 for the domain next pay. We'd have to figure out a day to have a meeting or perhaps do an IRC meeting... first week of the month is usually pretty crazy.
