Visible Tweets article on Makeuseof

Justin Pot has written a great article about Visible Tweets for Makeuseof. Justin has included most of the operators for Twitter and Visible Tweets and he links to a video showing how to embed Visible Tweets in a Power Point presentation (Windows users). I also have to thank Justin for acknowledging Full Circle Magazine and me for the article I wrote in Issue #62.

The second part of this article is on track for issue #64, though I’m likely going to be a bit “late” again (sorry Ronnie) because of other commitments.

Thanks again Justin and Makeuseof!

Social networking, twitter and identi.ca update

Over the course of the next couple of days I plan on trimming my Twitter account so that I’m primarily following friends and acquaintances from the open source world, computer reuse sector, and people I know who influence the tech sector. My apologies in advance to anyone I’ve followed and am now dropping, it’s not that you’re not interesting, but that I’ve decided I need more focus. My plan also involves using Twitter less, and Identi.ca more. At the moment this is a bit of a problem because as I mentioned in my previous post Blackberry there’s no app for that I don’t have an identi.ca Blackberry app.

I likely will not eliminate every non-tech person from Twitter, but trim the list. Balance is always a good thing, and so is a sense of humour.
